I think there should be wholesale changes in the team after the very poor showing in the last 4 games.
Tonight I thought we out-footballed them for 20 minutes and then we became predictable, east to west, slow, blunt up top, no incisiveness not aggressive enough by far.
    It needs to change:
    4231

    Killip (outstanding tonight)
    O'Keefe Roberts Earl Gent
    Benson Nwakali
    Cotter Jalo Lofthouse
    Humphreys

Take a risk because at the moment on the pitch is clearly just not good enough.

Agree I’d put Nwakali in and Cotter ( although it’s sounds like he’s being frozen out ) . Thought tonight’s game was ideal to take a few risks and go for it but I’m not sure Clarke is capable of thinking like that

Watters should be back. If injury free he at least can finish chances that our current players need 15000 chances to miss.

Need a win on Saturday, down to 8th with two teams above us with a game in hand , could start to lose touch with play-off spots

No need to make drastic changes formation wise, just drop a couple of players who are underperforming or who are just crap.

    Connell & Phillips need dropping
Cotter deserves another chance, O Keefe is crap.
Killip is better than Slonina but is too small, so get Smith in goal.

Killip has done little wrong and Smith if anything is shorter than him - Killip is listed as 6’2”.

Slonina is bigger at 6’4” but he’s crap.

Killip is no midget; he’s taller than Brad Collins, bigger than Steele, much bigger than Watson and Baker.

Why on earth would you drop him?

    Maybe I’m off my hinges but here we go. Let’s face it, they can’t do any worse;
    Killip
    Cotter
    McCarthy
    Roberts
    Earl
    Gent
    Nwakali
    Phillips
    DKD
    Watters
    Jalo

We can’t go to a back 4, we just don’t have the personnel. It’d be kind of a front 3 with DKD playing as a 10 and Watters and Jalo stretching the game up top. I like Humps but he looks knackered.

Subs: Smith Lofthouse Pines Craig Yoganathan Humps S74 Red (I’m an overweight 43 year old with **** ankles who wasn’t much of a player but I’m a better footballer than O’Keeffe, Captain Marvel and Bambi On Ice ever will be).

Because as Sam said on the day Kilip signed, despite never watching him, because he's come from hartlepool and they're crap, Kilip is automatically crap. So instead of just accepting you may have been 'slightly' unfair, and not praising him when he actually performs well enough, just wait until he has a bad game and then give the inevitable ' i told you so ' comment. Its usually what happens on here.:)

He didn't look good when we saw him last season, but full credit to him as he has been very good since he replaced Slonina. Only criticism is his kicking, but that seems to be a modern thing of keepers not able to kick accurately!

No Watters according to Clarke this morning sounds like he’s had another set back again unfortunately.

It sounds like Watters has had another injury setback. Shame as I think he’s been pretty good this season, when he’s played.

I would probably bring Cotter in for O’Keeffe and Jalo in for DKD.

Jalo and Humphrys up front with Phillips just behind them. Russell and Connell sitting in midfield.
