Killip- 9 some good saves played well Robo 7.5 solid Earl. 8 solid positive when in possession looked to take the ball out of defence MDG 6. Scary at times especially when he runs with the ball then faces goal. O keffe 4 so inconsistent, most positive thing he did all night was grab james McLean Gent- 6 effort was there Connell- 2 worst game in a barnsley shirt and well out of position for the goal. Phillips 3 went missing Russell- 3 fluffed a half chance 1st half and not the player he has been this season. Humphrys 4 lost count of the amount of times he lost possession with poor hold up play or passes. Maybe trying too hard. Subs Jalo- 8 lads obviously talented brought energy and a good save from there keeper. Time to grow a pair and give him a run of games dc. Pines- 5 scary when the balls on the ground Cosgrove 5 didn't get into the game much. DC- 3 To say post match we got sucker punched and there keepers made a great save for jalo. Daryll it took us till 70 minutes to register a shot on target. We went for the point and came away with zero.
You missed off DKD which is probably a reflection of how much he influenced the game. Pretty much agree with these, Connell was poor but its harsh blaming him for the goal as he could barely move. They had Craig prepared to replace him but then just didnt bother. It didnt help that Cosgrove flopped over and allowed their 18 stone centre back to turn him and advance up field. I think 3 for Russell is a bit generous.
Yes forgot about dkd to be honest. I edited and gave Clarke a rating. If your injured stay in your position was embarrassing how much time and space he had to shoot. Russell wasn't great but couldn't give him less than connell.
Disagree about us going for a point. I thought we gave it go but we just don't have the quality in the final third. We couldn't score against Bristol (even Orient put them to the sword last night) so were always going to struggle against a side as well organised as Wrexham. Never looked a threat all night for me we were happy to keep possession in area of no threat. 2nd half killip could have picked the ball up in his area but he ****** around till there striker closed him down. Said it all. Agree although I think we have a few players like that who want to do it all. Humphrys last night 2 on 1 all he had to do was pass the ball tried to take the man on and gets tackled.
