I’d check that the current crop of refs can actually count to five first..o_O

Play continues when players are down faking broken leg.

I think it would stop refs actually playing incorrect amounts more frequently take the recent home game against reading - he added on two mins despite there being 2 goals and around 6 subs between the two teams and then their keeper had been down for 2 mins also during the 2nd half injured. I don’t think he even played over the 2 mins despite the ball being out of play during that time.

I like it. Either that or a sniper with a pellet gun. Having been shot in the arse with a .22 as a young un, that would really quicken up your game

No way. There will be loads of little niggly attempts to injure the keeper from corners etc, especially in our leagues without Var, if that happens. We shouldn't be punished if our keeper is genuinely injured.

I get your point though and agree with it with every other player on the pitch, but too far with keepers. If the keeper goes down twice within a set amount of time, then force the sub or something like that maybe?

That or have reversible shirts and an outfield player goes in goal whilst treated or subbed

Just imagine playing a team like Wycombe. Wed never have a keeper in nets!

What about preventing goalies from holding onto the ball altogether - letting them stop it with the hands but not catch it or pick it up? That would speed the game up no end and we'd be way ahead of the curve with Slonina.

Well it's ironic that the rule to allow goal kicks couple be taken from either side was brought in to speed play up .

Let them take it from either side but change the stupid rule whereby a 'multiball' is put on a cone absolutely miles away from the goal to one side.
It will mean that these multimillion pound businesses will have to find the funds to make a one off purchase of four extra footballs but then instead of having a ball on a cone halfway between the goal and the corner flag (when's the last time you saw a free kick from there?) and instead there'll be a ball right next to each corner flag ready to use and another one off the field in line with the 6 yard box. Keeper chooses which side he takes it from but as soon as he picks up the ball from one of those sides he's committed to taking it from that side. Nice and simple and would speed the game up loads

That should be the rule across the board for me. Players wouldn't be so eager to fake injury if they knew that they could be forced off for it by the ref

I’ve said similar, but have a timesheet for each team. Then the officials should offer the element of extra time to the team winning for the opposition time wasting if they want it. If they don’t, they just use the time allowed for theirs.
How many sides set up for a draw, timewaste all game, go a goal down late on, the ref then adds on 6 minutes - 5 of them were by the team that had set up for the draw -they suddenly want extra minutes!

There isn't, and never has been, a gavel used in UKs courts.

My bit of pedantry for the day.
