    I read an article about him, it said when he’s holding council with the England team there’s total silence as such the respect for him…….a true hero who undoubtedly deserves all accolades for his charity fundraising work

    I wouldn’t give Beckham knighthood, slagged the system off when he didn’t get one following London Olympics. He’s all about himself, should go to someone more humble i.e. Kevin Sinfield.

    After the disaster of a corrupt liar of a Mayor for 8 years prior, Sadiq has been a brilliant Mayor at a time of major challenge all the while having to endure racist campaigns against him and central government purposefully making his job harder.

    Sinfield should be knighted, I've said it before, but Sadiq would be very well merited too and given some of the incredible cronyism of the last.... 5 (?) governments it would be nice see more worthy awards.

    Care to give some idea as to what Sadiq Kahn has done which was idiotic? Whilst I don't live in London, I can't think of anything.

    I have no problem with Kevin Sinfield being honoured by the way.

    Sinfield does deserve a knighthood. He inspires so many people and his love for Rob Burrow was tear jerking.

    On subject of knighthoods.

    I think Gary Lineker, Garry Mabbutt and Glen Hoddle do too.
    Gary Lineker for his public service.

    Garry Mabbutt because he did it all whilst being diabetic.

    Glen Hoddle for his services to football. Not many managers get sacked and love their club so much they swallow their pride and offer up their services and advice. True legend.

    I live in London, I don't know anyone who shares your view. I very much hope he stays a further four years. By far the best Mayor since I moved here nearly 20 years ago.
