OK so been debating this one at work yesterday. In car parks do you drive into spaces forwards or reverse in? I was always taught to reverse in as it's safer and easier when leaving. Lot of the drive in people were saying boot access, but I've never really seen that as a problem unless loading something large into the boot.
Drive in forward as my car needs to pull out quite far before the back can turn properly but reversing has better manoeuvring.
Reverse in, every time. It always amazes me watching people in car parks drive in forwards. Its harder to manoeuvre in, and it's then harder to manoeuvre out. The only time I have to drive in forwards is when I am driving into a charging bay, as my charge port is on the front of the car, which is a bit annoying. But it is the easiest access option at home for charging, so it's swings and roundabouts.
Used to always forward park but since I drive a larger than normal vehicle always reverse park as visibility is always better in and out.
My Dad makes me laugh whilst parking. He always parks in between other cars to line himself up forgetting we're both quite rotund
Amazes me the amount of folk who drive onto driveways on dangerous or busy roads, then try to reverse out. I’m sure the Highway Code used to say that you shouldn’t reverse out onto a main or busy road.
Highway Code or not it’s a stupid way of driving. Reverse into a space every time (or your drive way)
Agree. Just baffles me. I think it’s a mix of people being lazy and also can’t drive. I always reverse in - if the boot is blocked, I’ll pull it forward a touch when is return if needs be.
