Now i know hes not the best player but you have to feel sorry for him. Comes on and within 15mins gets dragged off again and he didnt do anything wrong in that time
Yet Connell gets 90mins every week when hes been garbage for weeks.

 

I disagree about Connell but agree about McCarthy. Very harsh on him and quite a peculiar sub really.

 

If I was McCarthy I’d be in the managers office on Monday morning with a transfer request.

 

Thought connell was alot better today definitely better than Tuesday but that was a low bar to beat.

 

We looked a lot better second half when Russell decided to join in the game but he’s absolutely got to score from that header from Roberts cross.

 

Then I'm sure you'd be laughed out the office and told to stop being wet and you were subbed because of a sending off.

 

Couldn't do much else it was a good header cleared off the line.

 

He knows he’s fifth choice centre back.

He came on today due to injuries to Earl and Roberts.

We went down to ten, the manager decided to go to a back four and only had room for two centre backs.

He left Pines and MDG on - that’s understandable.

McCarthy won’t be narked off at being taken off, he knows why.

He might be narked off at being fifth choice in the first place; and might want to leave anyway.

Though if Earl and Roberts are out next week he’s set to start.

 

Let hope so, I know he's been unlucky with injuries but for value for money he's up there with Benson.

 

For me he just needed a full head on it , no need to glance it

He's peaked, won't earn anymore than he's earning here so he'l be happy to see our his contract

 

McCarthy must feel horrible tonight. He finally gets a chance to impress and it's taken off him in quarter of an hour.

Subbing a sub isn't a good look.

 

I would hope McCarthy is professional enough to realise we changed system and he was the third choice of the three centre halves so had to be sacrificed because of the red card.

if we’d have left him on and subbed either of the others people would be criticising that decision.

 

Was that the one that was miraculously cleared off the line by their man? God knows how he kept that out

 

This criticism of Connell everywhere is just weird. Rusell, DKD and Phillips all absolutely powderpuff and he's trying to put the lot of them on his back. He's been the only contributing midfielder for months.

 

Did ok today, didn't waste the ball trying worldies

 

He’s played well for me today but no way has he carried the rest this season, you are miles off it mate.

 

What I saw too. He might try the odd pass that I don't think he's got in his locker but he's the best we've got by a mile.
