Why is it category A and 27 quid against a small Welsh club that was non league only two years ago? People won't be in a hurry to pay that over an expensive festive period, with our home form and the time of year.
Conversely, we don't buy tickets based on what they were and where they were 2 years ago. It's the here and now. Like it or not they are L1, higher profile and likely to fetch a big following.
I shall be popping down in the new year but I'm not going to that one, at that (minimum) price, at that time of year, when its probably freezing, when we don't know what the squad will morph into through January and when I'm still skint
The more you pay for a ticket to watch that crap the more chance of you buying a season ticket the following season . It's quite clever. Proper market research.
Or in any league. We go to watch Barnsley as Barnsley fans, so to many of us it doesn't matter if we are home to Wrexham or Burton Albion. All category A does is give the opposition an ego stroke to up their game. Give someone a lower category and it spurs them on to try and show us up for seeing them as lesser opposition.
Have we had "Category A you're avin' a laugh". Or "Who do you think you are?" Agree it gives opponents a gee up.
https://www.wrexhamafc.co.uk/news/2...s---barnsley--a--on-sale-from-10am-on-friday/ No messing around with their 5,008 tickets with general sale happening only seven hours after they first go on sale. We should do that.
I think it’s because that’s what Wrexham charged us in terms of ticket costs and because they take a decent following we impose a cat a price on any club that looks like it will bring [emoji6][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]] im guessing that’s what the change in sales criteria is hinting at that it will become all ticket if they sell out the away end.
They have a paid membership so in reality there’s only 1500 tickets available if it makes it to general sale and apparently most members find it difficult to get tickets anyway I would imagine they will sell this out no problem and might not even make general sale.
"There might be a change in the sales criteria as we approach the fixture" They'll be telling us that we can't use our flexi ticket. Paid 70 quid for my 5 games so that's 14 per game. Nowhere near what they'd charge me for this fixture.
