I agree with some of that definitely. But let’s see at end of season percentage of home games that have been moved and whether it’s not as many as seems eh, and if we happen to be on Sky away from home then that would benefit most fans tbh(hope I am insulting those most loyal who go everywhere), so how do you watch us mate?
I've been to games, I've watched games at my friend's house on sky, I've used a vpn to pretend I'm in another country and I've not watched some at all
Big January ahead. Can see recruitment coming in for a fair few positions. A few murmurs already about enquiries already being made which could be a positive.
Speaking of sacking Mr Clarke lol, remember when this was the local news when we sacked Alan, in season '89.
I’m not on this for rumours. Just the few lads I know at various clubs seem to think we’re quite active in moving early. I can’t see any signings being excitable unless we’re willing to spend £1 million. Reading between the lines of the very tiny information I have got is that players we want were free transfers in summer and we didn’t move for them. Again, very inconsistent with the approach.
Definitely not time to sack the Manager. I have said I think there's too much interference and we don't seem to be aware of his style just yet. We are just off being a decent team and 1 or 2 good transfers would put us up there. If we end up mid table it may force the club into better pre season signing to boost ticket sales.
That was extremely upsetting for so many reasons. Ultimately, sacking Clarkey was the right thing to do. We eventually got Danny and promotion to the Premier League because of that decision. And I thought it was the right decision at the time - that 5-0 defeat at Blackburn and the 3-0 home defeat to Port Vale - Good God. But I feel pretty disgusted with myself for thinking that. He'd done so much for us. And doesn't he look young. And then there's Beresford crossing the ball in for Portsmouth's winner. He was so good and we let him go for nowt. And Geoff Buckle resigning because he didn't agree with sacking Clarke, because he had some morals that simply do not exist in the game anymore. And then the mention of Winnie who is no longer with us. And a week later we went to WBA and lost 7-0, Don Bloody Goodman, and one of only two games my long departed sister ever went to. Jesus, I feel like I've been beaten up.
I would give Clarke the next two windows to get rid of players and hopefully add a bit of quality whilst giving more opportunities to Jalo, Yoganathon etc instead of mediocre fringe players.
Wow Jay kid lol, I could say so much here in reply lol, where do I start!. Yeah John Beresford leaving us for about 330k, that was an appalling piece of business. And yet your going to get the usuals saying... yeah but we are a selling club etc!.
