    In a year when Joe Root has probably confirmed his status as the greatest English (if not World) batsman, there should only be one winner.

    I don’t have a particular favourite but I don’t believe Littler should have made the shortlist. Humphries is more deserving from the darts world.

    I don’t really see why they need to push Littler on it when he’s going to fairly make lots of SPOTY shortlists in the future.
