I fancied Man United to get something today, but I thought they would have had to play better than they did to get it. If you take away the last few minutes of madness, who’d have thought that City dropping to Man Uniteds level would result in such a poor game of footy?
I know there's some folk on here can over react, but some of them are actually saying "relegation fodder".
Fair to assume that a good 70%+ of them won't remember how bad City were when they were actual relegation fodder, because the only time they set foot inside Maine Road was for an Oasis concert. They were a proper club back then, though. With proper fans, and a soul.
I reckon the players and coach have had it leaked about their perspective punishment. Why bust a gut trying to win the League to lose it with a deduction? There's sumat not reight there and it's nowt to do with football.
Makes you wonder how much patience the Arabs will have with him I know he's got a lot of credit in the bank. They are in it for glory and prestige can't see them wearing average very long.
Let's see Pep's demands for January and how much the Arabs bank roll them. I wonder if Pep will now be regretting signing that 2 year extension, he looks out of ideas.
Never understood the trope about city and attendances tbf. In 90s they had attendances between 25-30k. In early 2000s years before they got took over they were mid 40000s
It's crackers isn't it. To put things into perspective, they currently have 27 points. That would have been enough to survive relegation last season. It reminds me of the time I went to the pub to watch us lose to Huddersfield in 21/22, the game where our relegation was confirmed. Even though the writing had long been on the wall, it was still a disappointing end to the worst season we've had in my lifetime. A mate of mine tried to comfort me by saying it reminded him of the time that Liverpool finished 8th in the Premier League.
Tikka, takka is out dated now. 11 men trying to pass through opposition is dated and old. Teams are reverting back to type. The first team that plays simple wingers that cross the ball and attack quickly will win sumat.
More of a reflection of online behaviour these days than it is of City supporters who in the main are more 'humble' than most. Going online to rant is standard release isnt it? Have you been on Arsenals blog btw? If you want to experience 'entitlement' that's where it's at. Google search Arteta out you'll find em.
And to some degree that's necessary. Turning the Premier League into the Scottish Premier League is no good, when it's too easy there's no joy in the victory. City won't win a thing this year, 4th is the target, squad needs a complete rebuild but they've got the funds, data and network to do it. Take the beatings, remember humility, then the champagne will taste sweeter.
My dad's been City (born in Stockport) since the early 50s, so he's seen the ups, depths and rise again. He's quite torn about what the Arabs have done to the club, but it's difficult to dislike success after the years of nowt. All the recent online plastics of the last dozen years or so are an embarrassment though don't you think.
How have the fans already found out the result of the cases against them? The verdict isn't even out until next year.
Isn't it weird, where a team can actually talk about NOT winning trophies every single season, is a big disappointment!!. Manslaughter City (and their so called modern day young fans) really need to be brought back down to earth here. And I say that even though I dislike ManUre and Liverpool, much more!!.
Must be summat to do with playing in blue and white. Worst decision they ever made was when they decided against naming the home end after Colin Bell!
Well your'e saying that but have you seen some of the matchday comments on here? Clearly weren't around when you had to shout to the next fan on the terrace!
