Ahh the good old days. Pick your crush barrier to lean on; plenty of elbow room; loads of fresh air; Kenny Brown in the middle of the pitch can hear every word shouted at him (praise, obviously!). A little cheer at ten to five when we’ve beaten Workington 1-0. Proper good times…
Does this mean you've stopped bookmarking posts to bring up again in May when the winners lift the trophy?
I think many of the new players aren’t up to it & several of their best players are going over the hill at the same time. They’re relying on players like Rico Lewis, a 34 year old Gundogan, Nunes, Doku & Savinho. These wouldn’t get a start at Villa, Newcastle, Spurs etc. I’m not even sure they’d get a start at some other clubs like Brighton & Forest.
Clarke got the players to go in centre circle and wave to crowd just like what the Leeds team did when he was in their great team. He brought a lot of the Revie ideas to our club when he came. Brilliant
The recruitment over the past few windows has been poor, then the club built up a war chest thinking Pep was going to leave ready for a new manager, now he's dealing with fatigue, age, lack of desire and confidence. January and the summer windows will be big reinvestment and when players that have given everything to win so many trophies it's difficult not to allow them to leave on their own terms, and a few will know times time. If the 115 decision comes out this side of Christmas I'm hearing it's cleared of all charges. I've heard the Premier League have submitted a falsified document as part of their evidence that could kill their case completely. Let's see.
