    43 years ago today, we lost the brave crew of the Penlee lifeboat, the Solomon Browne. Cornish heroes, never forgotten…. Kevin Smiths family home was my home town Wath upon Dearne….god bless them all IMG_3129.jpeg

    The ships
    owners Didn’t want to pay the insurance for a tow to safety hoping the storm would pass so the union star could get back on its way the storm didn’t pass and the rest is history
