When your players can't find a team mate from 5 yards away, just lump the ball aimlessly downfield or fail to pick up a man at set pieces, it's not always the managers fault

It is ultimately about players though.

GK - Killip 3rd choice at the beginning of the season.
RWB - O'Keefe 2nd choice at the beginning of the season
LWB - Gent the only left sided full/wing back at the club
LCB - McCarthy arguably 5th, 6th or 7th choice centre half depending on your grading of Lopata & Sheperd.
    CB -Pines same as above
RCB - MDG recruited from the 3rd tier in France
DM - Craig not played for months as not been good enough in previous games
DM - Nwakali had to wait months for a chance
CM - Russell not deemed good enough last season
CF - DKD attacking midfielder being asked to play up front due to lack of quality strikers at the club
CF - Humphrys an old fashioned inside forward being asked to play as a striker

I'll reiterate once more, the head coach can only p*ss with the pr*ck he was born with.

Isn't a head coach supposed to er, coach players to be better players? Maybe make them look organised, play with a cohesive plan? Show a bit of effort? All I see is rank bad man management.

Given the right tools, yes. You can't make a silk purse out of sows ear hole. All about opinions. The squad each season is getting progressively worse in my opinion. But the expectations of the majority of the fanbase remain the same.

I agree in part, but surely we have better players than Leyton Orient? And to get stuffed 0-4 at home is shameful

It is when he doesn't make them change he's had them for 6 months now they should play how he wants them to play and he should know their limitations and not ask them to do something they aren't capable of. If he didn't want them to play like they were why wasn't he in the technical area telling them in no uncertain terms he didn't want them playing like that and why no change after half time either they were playing to his orders or ignoring them neither is no good for the club.

Herein lies the problem of a lot of our fanbase. Sadly we don't have any given right to beat anyone based on "surely we're better than" insert any team. We are in this league on merit, based on the squad we have currently have. Which at the moment is on downwards trajectory. That's not the head coach's fault. And for me, it's about time some of the blame was laid at the players door. Once they cross the white line, they're responsible for their own performances. And today, most if not all, were way off it.

That's the issue I have though Frog, even though it might actually be right what your saying there.
I wish fans wouldn't keep totally dismissing the idea, and saying there's nobody out there who might be interested in buying.
And it makes it worse then when they say we're just Barnsley Fc at the end of the day.
Which is like saying we dont deserve that to happen, and don't even have the right to hope for that to happen.

Lack of spirit, lack of any fight a completely unmotivated team. There are glaring gaps in our squad , but there was no need or expectation of what we saw today. He picks a side, sees it fail and changes it in a panic to no good effect. I’m sorry to say it but I think he has lost it and won’t get it back. Pines is not a footballer btw.

Remember Franco Zola thinking it was hilarious, when Chelksi did that to us in the Prem lol.
He said when we were 5 goals behind, our fans were singing we're going to win 6-5, and that he'd never heard that sort of thing before!. :D

I hate the 'we're better than' bit, makes us sound like the S6 massive. But to be beat 0-4 at home is totally embarrassing. Players and manager both awful. I don't want to say out of our depth as we are where we should be.

    Just crap.

I wouldn't be against the board selling up, mate. It's not my money, whether I'd want them to stay or not, I'd have no input (probably for the best:p) but on the flip side of what you're saying, it's every week we hear it. Sell the club, sack the board etc etc. Every week, without fail. Even last week when we beat Exeter. Screaming over and over again to sell club every 5 minutes isn't going to do any good, we have absolutely no idea about finances in football, we wouldn't understand a word of it. After seeing what some owners do to other clubs, I'm extremely grateful we still have owners putting in millions & millions a year, despite the constant abuse. They started with said abuse as well because they've been overshadowed by Conway & Lee, who actually did set the club back god knows how many yearrs.

Like I said, I'd be all for selling up. But you need people willing to not only buy the actual club, but also spend upwards of 10 million a year to keep it going. Saying it week in week out suggests there's people lining up to buy us and it's an easy thing to do. It isn't, as Everton and countless other clubs have seen.
I do feel a bit sorry for our current owners, I do think they're trying or whatever else people moan about. I just don't think they're that competent at it at the minute, and since they started from a bad position after Lee & Conway, it's been even tougher. Loads of people said after Conway & Lee left, that the club would be set back for years, it's come to fruition. I think the ambition point is wrong also, I do think we try show ambition, we've just spent more on DKD than we have on anyone for years, especially in league one. We also kept hold of Cadden, Kane, Williams & especially Cole, who in Jan back then, could have made a decent little profit on, but we held on hoping for promotion. Had the board actually sold those out of contract players in Jan, fans on here would be in meltdown. We also held out for good deals on Styles & Kitching, turned down bids for Jalo from huge clubs. Just because it's not going great doesn't instantly negate the fact they've actually tried being ambitious, cautiously so.

Just my opinion though of course, mate. Obviously plenty of others see it differently. Though why anyone would purposefully throw 10 million of their own money down the drain or not sell assets when we could actually profit somewhat from them, is beyond me, but let people believe what they want to believe. We'd still have the same squad if they left, we'd still not have millions to pump in. Personally, I'm still willing to give Clarke and the staff upstairs time & patience. I'll be gutted if he does turn it around and **** off first chance he gets like Duff, but that's what every club has to deal with these days. We are where we deserve to be at the minute. Hopefully that changes soon

And that was never the owners fault Frog, apparently they tried their best to keep Duff.
And I think he even felt the need to tell us that, for whatever reason.
We keep talking about ambition or the lack of it. And we ask how 'realistic' should we be these days, when it comes to expectations.
Well I keep thinking there's real potential with this squad, and that we should still be thinking about the top six this season.
And then we get that, what happened today!.

I've said all along my standards are top 6 mate. I know we are missing some pieces to the puzzle but we kept claiming to have the best midfield and with Roberts back our defence has improved, and yet we keep finding ourselves on the wrong end of results, dven when we do play relatively well. Its a big January for them mate, no doubt. Could be make or break
