My feelings, l must have watched a different fight when you read the BBS but then when it goes into the studios the professionals are all dumbfounded at the cards. So I'll stick to listening to the professionals Good night BBS
Would that be the English professionals on Sky? Dee-Dar Johnny Nelson? I wonder what the Yanks or neutral professionals made of it.
If you honestly believe the fight was closer or even (bizarrely) that Fury won can you explain your reasoning as to why the scoring was unfair. There’s literally no reason for them to score rounds to Usyk that they think Fury won. Everyone there wants Fury to win. Turki al Sheikh, Hearn, Warren, all the sanctioning bodies. They all make more money if Fury wins. Fury v Joshua or Dubois makes far more than any fight Usyk can be in.
Someone has a different opinion to you, and you refer to them as 'the keyboard mob on here'. And you think that's absolutely ok? It's just a different opinion. And a different opinion which 3 judges unanimously agreed with. Just no need to have a dig at people.
You call it bizarre yet you seem one of few to think Usyk won that widely. Like I say, I think Usyk won. I don’t think 116-112 reflects the fight though.
Blimey! What a day! On here we've had people packing in football/Barnsley FC forever, and there's the odd few packing in boxing too. Usyk for me btw.
Thing is, I’m a 42 year old bloke who has watched boxing for years. So I know my stuff. Boxing judges have notoriously got things wrong. Usyk rightly got the decision in the first fight. I had it as a draw, personally. But I understood it. That 9th round… Tonight? There was nothing in most of the rounds but for me, Fury edged it. Yet we get 8-4 cards. Get out of here. I’m done with the sport. Usyk himself looked embarrassed.
Boring as hell. Furys legs have gone and hes 20 stone and massive. Uysk cant knock heavyweighs out PERIOD. Hope he goes back to cruiserweight like he said he would.
Disagree. I don’t see that. I don’t understand how you can be done with the sport after some perfectly fine scoring given some of the blatant robberies we’ve had over the years. Dave Allen was robbed blind on the undercard tonight, Fury himself was robbed blind in the first Wilder fight, John McDermott was robbed in the first Fury fight. These are proper robberies.
If you think he ‘edged it’ that’s 7-5? So essentially you’re saying it’s a joke that the judges have seen the fight one round different to you. There’s only one round between a 116-112 card & a 115-113 card.
I think you're blinded by bias. Usyk deserved the win, albeit not by the margin that the scorecards suggested. If it was just the merits of the decision there are hundreds of decisions that would have put you off boxing way before this fight.
I’m just catching up on social media now & most of the ex-pros seem to have cards that reflect the judges scores so I'm very comfortable with mine. I don’t get how anyone can think Usyk won but be annoyed at 116-112. It’s literally one round different to 115-113.
Not sure you would be as upset if it was the same result in favour of fury. I agree the scoring was a bit off but think some bias might be creeping in.
