A 19 year old on loan just isn't the answer. Yes, he's scored a few in L2, and there's every chance he's the next big thing...it just doesn't ever happen for us does it? They turn up, and become incorporated into our pants way of approaching football matches... Yes we need some quality, but that's one of about 25 issues we have as a Football Club that's stopping us from progressing imo. From top to bottom there needs to be a seismic shift. And I include myself in that too. I don't like being negative believe it or not. But everything about the Club is negative. The owners can't or won't spend any real money barring what they HAVE to spend on fire fighting. A DOF who has turned the playing side into National League level mainly at home. A manager who, whilst being a likeable fella, is tactically naive and his approach appears rather archaic. We have a fanbase who moan after 30 seconds, very few actually attend matches, the stadium is old, cold, run down and boring. The match day experience is horrific. There's just nothing at the Club which is upper league 1/ Championship level. Nothing. That needs to change. Immediately.
The actual post quote Naill Ennis not Lowe Stoke are weighing up recalling teenage striker Nathan Lowe from a loan at Walsall. Decision over the teenager’s future to be made shortly. Niall Ennis is expected to leave Stoke with Barnsley among the League One clubs keen.
A striker who doesn’t score goals. Sounds exactly like our type of signing. Ennis that is. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niall_Ennis
Would be absolutely brilliant signing, but he's on loan for the season at Walsall from Stoke City and they are flying at the moment. I don't suppose that we could afford to buy him and I can't see him wanting to switch his loan from a club at the top of their league to us. Walsall also have a superb young keeper on loan from Stoke City as well - Tommy Simkin. We could do with getting them both, but I cannot see it happening. Good shout, though. Lowe is 6'4", but has great skill and his eye for goal speaks for itself. Good that we are being connected with such good prospects.
We were connected last summer. Ennis has been around the Stoke first team this season and has pace and had one really good season with Plymouth Argyle, but that's going back a bit now. I think it will hinge on his attitude. If he really wants to come to re-ignite his career, it could be a great move, but, if he comes with the wrong vibes, he could become another Leya Iseka.
