I hope you have a change of heart, Stuart, and continue to post on here. However, if this is to be your last post, allow me to wish you well for the future and to thank you for your positive contributions to this board.
    All the best, old mate.
    Kev

Strangely enough I find this board a release rather than the other way round. My partner of 33 years has been diagnosed with moderately severe dementia and I'm still coming to terms with it. Haven't posted much on here of late as I've been sorting out support for us but have been having a lurk
Typical she has mixed dementia , Alzheimers and vascular so it has seen a quite sharp decoration in the last 3 months. Gutted that we've let a 2 goal lead slip tonight but there are more important things in the world, just look at Gaza, Ukraine and people struggling in this country
Hope you reconsider mate, Bob Hoskins was right, it's good to talk, as I've found out when I've explained to people we know

This should build up confidence at a vital time.

Think I need a time out again. Sometimes this forum is a great place then other times one or two individuals make it difficult. Not enjoying it at the moment when the only reason I use it is as a release from the stresses of every day life.

I get it mate. I myself have found it a bit wearisome on here recently. Same few people hijacking most threads saying the same things over and over again.

Nothing wrong with a time out. I’m looking forward to season starting, get them first couple of wins in the board and they’ll crawl back under their rocks and it’ll be more pleasant on here again.

I’m all for debate and was glass half empty myself under Collins. But a conversation with some on here is impossible.

Anyway I digress! I hope things are going better in the real world and I hope to see loads of you here in the future!

    Hi solarized.

It’s a good thing you have reached out. People are generally quite forgiving and wish the best for everyone.

Has your PTSD been properly diagnosed? Are you getting treatment? Obviously you only need to tell us what you want us to know but my door is always open and I’m sure many other BBSers will feel the same. You’re welcome to message me privately if you’re more comfortable doing that.

PTSD isn’t something I know a great deal about admittedly. But more than happy to help if you need a vent or a fresh pair of ears!

If anyone is reading this I'll give you an update.

In a nutshell I'm struggling big time mentally and will have to go through psychological treatment with a therapist to resolve my situation. I feel this is last chance saloon.

I feel it's better if I'm honest and tell you straight rather than put on a front and pretend I'm OK when I'm not.

A couple of guys know what's going on and appreciate their support.

Despite having a wonderful wife and 2 great girls a job a house a car I still have demons and darkness that haunt me more or less on a daily level.

Hopefully in 2025 I can get dealt with and back to some sort of normality and be able to smile on the inside without having to put on a front on the outside.

That aside I wish you all a merry Christmas and happy new year.

Having been through and continued to struggle myself I can assure you asking for help is not the hardest despite what people say.

    Accepting it is.

    There is not magic solution.

    Be kind to yourself.

    I wish you well.
