Killip has let in as many that he should have saved as Slonina. Jackson Smith did well last season playing regular EFL Football.

Outfield players who let standards slip get dropped. Keepers generally are treated differently when they shouldn't be.

What about the other games. Very selective memory. I said on the whole.

I can't remember killip having many great games where I thought well done. Maybe wrexham away he made some good stops. Slonina lost his place down to bad goalkeeping but also had some good games prior to losing his place.

Keepers in general if they have one bad game keep their place. And as for as many let in as solina I'd beg to differ re should have saved. Solina was a liability. Punching almost every ball and causing chaos. The defence looks to have much more confidence in Killip.
    League games
    Solina clean sheets 1 in 12. 8%
    Killip 3 in 9. 33%.
Everyone was complaining Killip had not played at higher levels .
Yet you would play James, on imo 1 bad game for killip. Your opinion, But when you quote stats at least back em up with the others.
And tbh my stats matter neither. Because any keeper playing with a decent defence in front of him will shine on that front and vice versa.
Outfield players generally go through a bad period b4 they get dropped some a bag o ***** for weeks. If not months. Not one game.

I beg to differ re league games.
Not missed one. Slonina was a far bigger liability. And far more mistakes in his locker.
It plainly shows the defence has more confidence in killip. But I'll add again. Most bad goals have come through diabolical defending at times. Slonina let 7 in against man utd. His fault or the defence. ?

Also to add. Slonina wasnt dropped because he was poor. (although imo he was) but through injury.

It might not be the consensus of some on here. But all those I travel with come down on Killips side, and those I sit at home games with also. Doesn't mean we are all right. As in every case it's just a matter of individual opinion. I'll stick to mine.

Yes they said it was injury but it was a coincidence after he cost us in the charlton game then got dropped.

Killips performance Saturday was probably the worst individual goalkeeping performance at oakwell ever.

The frustrating thing for me like I said last season we brought a loanee in as number one then this season we obviously brought Slonina in with the intention of been number 1 and killip back up. Harry isted went to Burton in the summer there was plenty of other options, Brad Collins was 3rd choice at cov under Robins a loan move there? Killip shouldn't be number 1 in a side who's aim is apparently top 6.

I think we should forget about the top six and just be thankful we still have a club.

Not sticking up for any player after Saturday but no ones mentioned the wind having some input on ball into the box.The Orient keeper missed the ball possibly as many as Kilip but we didn't have anyone on hand to take advantage.

The first goal we conceded set the tone for a very 5hit afternoon.

Did he? I genuinely don't remember the ball going near the orient keeper anywhere near as many times as killip missed the ball on Saturday.

What else goes against killip is his kicking on Saturday. Wind was blowing towards the east stand yet time after time be pumped the ball down our right wing (in the first half) and the ball went straight out of play. The orient keeper kicked it down the middle and kept it in play.

But as I've already said, he had a bad game, everyone does. The coaching staff should have been telling him not to kick it down that side and when it was clear he was having a nightmare they should have used a sub and took him off like they would anyone else. Leaving him on hurt the team and himself

Correct on the injury front. Apologies.
But maybe a blessing in disguise without wishing injury on anyone.
Sadly we are talking about the present. I believe and stand by at this moment in time that Killip is better than Slonina regardless of price tag. I hope he becomes successful but he's a long way to go.
As for the others you mention.
Harry Isted refused to sign after Duff left.
Collins went for money and higher league football. As did Walton. Robert's possibly outpriced by championship side Millwall.
I rate em all some better than others.
But we are where we are as I say and I'll stand on Killips side as it stands.
Worst performance by a Barnsley goal keeper. Did you ever see Radlingers performances in general. And Charlton away in particular. ?

Done his stats by any chance. ? League 2. 11 goals in 3 out of 6 played alone. I don't know if he's any good or not. Cos the defence might be to blame.

Our current defence could make Gordon Banks, Peter Shilton, David Seaman or any goalie you could care to mention look fffing shyyte, he had poor game on Saturday as you say but he wasn’t helped much by poor defending on at least 2 of goals. He remains in team for me on Boxing day

There was getting beat at his near post, flapping at crosses, and the 4th goal where he palms it to there man. Shocking distribution. Must have been the worst 90 minutes of his career.

100% WG. I sometimes think those that slag players off for no other reason than where they plied their trade. Go quiet at the moment they show up better than those they've replaced. Waiting for the first opportunity to slag of at the first sign of a bad one.

Slonina might not be as good of a keeper as killip but he was brought in to be number 1. I think after so many mistakes and rushes of blood to the head in games killip got his chance. Would killip be number 1 in any other top half league one side its doubtful. Was there better options in the summer than Slonina? I'd say yes. Hindsight is a great thing but neither should be anywhere near 1st choice in a league one side who's aim should be top 6.

The 3rd was mdg been as weak as piss as usual but then killip also got to be made look silly when he comes and gets lobbed. The 1st goal was poor defending and even worse goalkeeping to get beat at your near post like he did.

His distribution vastly improved after the first 2. The 1st goal defensive naivety.
2nd misjudged I admit. 3rd how on earth anyone could blame him and not the defence is beyond me. 4th Slonina would have punched it in the net himself. Error maybe but I've seen far worse.
All goalkeepers fekk up. Sprake more than most.

As I say I only deal with the present. No use going back. Solves nowt. Will we sign another keeper. If so will it be an Isted who played bugger all 1st team football. But would walk in this side. Or another Overpriced Novice outperformed by experience.
