Who is on your wish list from the transfer window………also a Bradford fan I know says Jack Sheppard is playing very well would you recall him if we can
We should definitely recall Sheppard. Even if he's on the wrong side of the back 3 he'd offer more than MDG who is an absolute liability and nothing more than conference level.
Clarke has already covered this one off last week. He’s said Shepherd is staying and would only be recalled if further injuries occurred. The game time he’s getting at Bradford is valuable for his development as a 2nd year pro.
An experienced left back who plays this level who can compete with Gent at full back, two strikers that suit the way Clarke wants to play and wouldn’t surprise me if we went for a keeper - someone who again, has played at this level. No point in gambling on someone who has never shown an incline of being good enough.
Clarke hasn't demanded these signings, I'd put my house on that. We've been told multiple times that the HC gets offered a list of, let's say 4 or 5 names, he offers an opinion, then the list is worked through. Input or not, they're not his signings in my eyes, not in the historical sense. Managers of old used to have the final say on signings, our Club certainly doesn't work like that, hence the HC title. They're effectively given a team and told to "show us how good a coach you are, get a tune out of this ramshackle".
The biggest issue for me is trying to move players on who are absolute toss. If we struggle to do that then it will really limit who we bring in. People really need to understand that before posting absolute *****. Clarke will have very little say in who we may bring in, it's over to Mldaenn to show what he can or can't do.
We need to bring Tom Bradshaw back. He's a bench warmer at Millwank but has a lot of experience at that level. He'd score plenty back at our level.
I’m not sure you know how modern football works. The data will analyse players. The analysts will interpret that data. They will present options to the HC. He will have the final say in whether we buy or not. Some will use traditional scouting methods to assist in that decision. What doesn’t happen is the old Keith Hill sign Wiseman as he played for me at Rochdale routine. Though the HC can put forward targets as he did with DKD and if they pas the data analysts they can be signed. In this new are no different to most clubs these days.
I'm just going on what we've been explicitly told by the board at the engagement forums. The HC offers an opinion on targets put Infront of him. They have a say, but it's certainly not the final one.
