    I think it comes down to hope and expectations. You hope good players will drive a team on and win matches. Great players you expect to do great things and win you matches.

    Who are Barnsley greats? Players you know (there could be one :D) and knew were match winners?

    For me going from 94/95. Andy Payton, Neil Redfearn, Ashley Ward, Craig Hignett, Adam Hammill and Connor Hourihane.

    There have been other good players but I expected those players to perform.

    On the subject of Ally Millar, those who watched him, can you all remember the “Ali, Ali, Ali,” chants when we got a free kick just outside box?.....he wasn’t bad at taking them in his prime.
