Not even a passing mention for Fjortoft? Managed 25 Premier League goals at a rate of almost 1 in 3.

Didn't Kevin Richardson win the title with arsenal? Might be wrong, but I'm sure he played a few games for us?

I was gonna mention Mido, but then I looked him up and he didn't really do much. He had a really successful loan spell at Tottenham, and then after getting the big contract did the square root of eff all.

Good shout on Kevin Richardon though.

He won the title with Everton too. And won FA, FL and Cup Winners Cups. Way past his best by the time he came to us but still played over 30 times.

Clayton Blackmore is worthy of consideration. Only played 7 games for us but was a Premier League winner with Man Utd.

Absolutely he should although in terms of quality but I don't believe he played in the Premier League era.

    Mine would be

    Butland
    Trippier
    Beresford
    Stones
    Pinnock
    De Zeuw
    Redfearn
    Hignett
    Barnes
    Hirst
    Ward

I’m not playing by the rules and have gone with 3 at the back because we’ve not played 442 since the early 90s

That team in their prime would give a lot of clubs some beatings.

To be fair you could move both Trippier and Beresford into midfield as well if we were getting overrun.

That would be a Top 6 premier league team.

Made my bench - though he never won the premier league, his league titles with Everton and Arsenal were pre-premier league so first division titles. Selected him in the squad as he was a lynchpin in the villa side that went close to winning the first premier league and won the league cup in the following year.

Wasn’t amazing for us, way past his peak, but steady enough.
