Take a look at some of his videos of amazing facts of physics. Simply mind blowing, I wish he would have been my school teacher. American Brian Cox's.
I’m friends with a bloke called Jeff Forshaw. I’ve known him for years through his partner. They both have been to my clubbing events and watched me DJ loads of times. Anyway last year I found out he is one of the most prominent quantum physicists in the world, has written a few books with Brian Cox, writes columns in the Observer, and is heavily involved in BBC science programmes including the ones Brian Cox presents. I love that fact that I’ve known him 10 years + and didn’t know that he was a science superstar…
Strange thing with these bright lads I was fortunate to work with a lot of Cambridge graduates in engineering who all their lives got straight A in all subjects , and a few of them didn't know which way a nut came off, so I taught them lefty loosey righty tighty! They all probably went on to greater things knowing this rhyme.
I presume this is a different partner to his ex who founded Extinction Rebellion? Just reading his biography and he did his postdoc research at Rutherford Appleton from 1992-95. I was there 1991-92, so probably had a few mutual acquaintances.
Yeah he’s been with his current Mrs for about 9 years I’d say. I met her in 2014 and it wasn’t long after that when they got together and he started coming to my events. He’s a really nice guy, pretty quiet and unassuming. I couldn’t believe he had his own wiki page and I only found out because I saw him on a BBC programme plugging his new book with Brian Cox.
Philamena Cunk recently interviewed Brian Cox for her 'Life' prog (still on player). 'So your name's Brian Cox. Do you prefer Brian or do you prefer Cox?' Sorry for lowering the tone....
One of my team used to have 'lefty loosey righty tighty' written on his desk divider. I could never work out if it was a genuine reminder or he was trolling people who came to his desk for direction. Usually when threads failed Go / No Go inspections.
