Maybe not - but he was well supported in the arena, is liked by the public, and was beaten because he wasnt good enough, not because the establishment wanted him to lose. He’d say that himself too.
Following the betting theme, I nearly backed MvG to beat Littler in the final before the tournament started, think it was 14/1 on b365. Nearly. My missus distracted me and by the time I remember the tournament had started. I reckon it'll be a cracker, really is a 50/50 to call though.
Littler is a top young lad. A special talent for sure & he will win plenty of world titles, probably starting tonight. But by god the media love in is tiresome! So for that reason I hope MVG wins, which is certainly possible, he’s been there & done it, & looks as hungry as ever!
I’m not a huge darts fan, in fact maybe I’m possibly a “glory fan” as I only really watch the world championships and the premier league, but Littler never seems to get flustered no matter what is happening during the game. Van Gerwen has had a good tournament but I reckon Littler has too much for him.
I thought LL was a breath of fresh air when he first emerged, but over the last year he does seem to have fallen in with the love in for him by the media, to the point that he now comes across as a cocky little shité.
Luke has achieved his ultimate aim in life already ! …. He’s been on Bullseye. He had one eye on the speed boat … you could tell
Yeah but that’s not answered what makes everyone fawn over and rant about him? Seems a nice bloke (awful accent mind), has he got some kind of Fairytale story like Wrexham or saved kids or something? Not having a pop at him just trying to understand all the love and hype.
Add me to the Luke Littler Is An Insufferable Get Club. There's a fine line between confidence and arrogance, and he blew past it a while back. Great player mind.
