We've enough centre backs, 2 strikers would be good

We'll end up wi a keeper an another Coach, but a striker with a pedigree would be nice.

I really don't want us to spaff money on another centre back, I really don't think we need one. If we did I'd rather just recall Shepherd since whoever comes in will only be backup. Perhaps a loan but realistically who would we get in Jan who won't get game time but is good enough when we do need him for game time?

Certainly want a striker at the very least.

Totally agree with this, we have a better attack than defence, and we have a much better chance of getting a CB that improves us than a Striker that does, the other thing is if we do get a decent striker he has to fit in with the style of DKD, who in my opinion is the best signing we have made in a long time.
I know a new striker does not have to play beside DKD, but i think to get anyone as good as him or better we would be splashing out a bit and a player like that would be expecting to be a regular starter.
Dont get me wrong i would love another quality goalscorer in as well as a CB, and if we did get both a 2nd place finish wouldnt be a surprise

Call me controversial but I don’t think we would sign a cb that would improve us - not on the budget we have and that limited budget has more important things to address.

Earl has come good, Roberts has been great.

Mael will play as DC likes his ball playing but i’d play a back three of McCarthy, Roberts and Earl; with MDG and Pines as backup. McCarthy can play too - but he’s also a much better defender than Mael in my view.

We really don’t need more than that given our budget constraints and at this level that is pretty good.

We need a centre forward. Cosgrove is terrible and Watters we can’t trust to be fit. None of DKD, Humphrys or even Marsh (who i’d let go now) are centre forwards really.

As i pointed out in another post, we are in the top 4 attacking , but around maybe 14/15th in defence, i agree i like Earl and Roberts is quality but getting on a little, the others i am happy for them to be back ups but i would like another ball playing right footed CB with a little pace.
Then i think with a better defence it will give our wing backs even more scope to attack.
I think you are right about Cosgrove and Marsh, Watters i think can still improve with more gametime and Humphries is a good worker who can get a few nore goals for us.
Hopefully Phillips will chip in with a few goals as well.
I know we have not got that Sharp/Bamford/Moore type 20+ goals CF, but you dont always need one when you have 2 or 3 players getting the goals.
Dont get me wrong i would love one, but they dont grow on trees.
But lets see what happens, knowing us we will sign 2 more mids and another RWB lol
Either way i am much happier now than i was 4 games ago.

I've done my fair share of moaning but the beauty is we can change our minds.
I'm quite happy with the club in terms of signings...this season we made good signings..Craig and Gaga will be quality but it didn't work for them but u can understand why the club went for them. DKD is class and will score 20 goals...Nwakali is class and needs to play every game. In my opinion we need to offload cosgrove, Marsh and benson. We need a keeper and a goalscorer. Our defence needs to stop conceding silly goals.

We need centre backs out not in.

Cosgrove & Marsh out. Benson and Lopata out

2 forwards. - basically a more prolific Watters and a loan in of a forward with more physical attributes.

Keeper in and Smith out on loan.
