We told cov to piss off loads of times before we accepted the offer. Same will happen with Phillips if they come in with bids I hope as Phillips contract is same as what kitch had left.
Is that the 19th placed Peterborough United being compared to 5th placed Barnsley and a mention of the 10th placed Bolton. There's lots of complaining over something that (A) Hasn't happened (B) Might never happen (C) Might happen (D) Might happen differently I'm not saying our lot are perfect and I get fans scepticism based on history but this current incarnation simply can't be accused of selling cheap sold styles for decent money with little suitors and very good fees for both Mads and Kitching, if I've missed something then fair do's but curious to who we've sold cheap recently? *edit you did credit the board should have put the specs on
You could add to that selling players in January, we virtually never do that yet every year it’s the same with people complaining saying we always sell them. Worth also adding to this thread that not all players spit their dummy out when a bid comes in, many are professional enough to knuckle down.
I wonder how much Walsall would let Nathan lowe go for ? Sorry didn't realise he is a Stoke City player.
That'll be Peterborough that claim they turned down an £8m offer for Jack Taylor from Ipswich, said he wouldn't go for less than £10m and then sold him to them not long after for £1.75m? Wouldn't believe a word that comes out of them.
Other teams don't just buy players off of stats though mate, like us. They actually watch them play the game as well.
He does go quiet for large periods of games but nobody can argue with his goal output as they are a ridiculous really. So many crucial goals and assists in there too. I did think (and still do) that DKD was brought in to be Phillips’ replacement and given how well DKD is doing recently, I wonder if it might tempt us to cash in. £3 million up front and some add ons would probably do it. Not sure Preston or Swansea could do that though.
Yep. I've seen hundreds of players in my 47 years watching and he is in the top ten best, if not the top five. Right player. And remember, it's only a few years since Liverpool kids were winning everything and Phillips and Alexander Arnold were the 2 who were expected to be world beaters. Right player (again)
Very good player, nowt near my top 10 however, and Trent as left him standing I am afraid. But saying all that he is worth a few million at least, hope he stays though as I am a big fan of is.
