Just watching the man united game where a red card has adversely affected the game if it goes to extra time

if a replay was to happen in seasons past its 11 v 11, in extra time here however it’s 10 v 11

should man united in this instance be allowed to go back to 11 for extra time?

maybe a red car for 2 yellows should be for 20 mins similar to new rugby union rules, red for violent conduct rest of the game etc…

Similarly, Tamworth would have had another pay day with a tie at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium had replays not been scrapped. Probably sufficient to keep a club of their size going for another couple of years.

To many games. So let's stop replays. Form a european league. Go on lucrative tournaments watched by few in the stadiums. And to boot, put out our third choice players to get games in the w4nk competition that is the English FA Cup. Till the final that is.
Fekk the fans who needs their money.
    Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Makes you wonder how the likes of Liverpool in the late 70’s were playing 60 games a season with pretty much the same players week in and out.

As a game it was worth watching. The red card created a attack and defend 2nd half and Arsenal have only themselves to blame for going out.
On the downside the over theatrical performances when tapped on the toe or have a finger lightly brush the face make me realise why I stopped watching premier league sides. Even though I thought it was a red card it was minimal contact and open heart surgery will thankfully not be required..plus im not sure Haverts would get 15 goals in a league 1 season...

Spot on, denied a massive payday just because, er well some reasons.

Oh yes I remember, it's because some teams have too many fixtures because they go off touring the far east or summat.

Exactly. Think it was Spurs who moaned last season and then a couple of days later flew of to Australia for a friendly. Pathetic.

Bad rule also when a player gets booked for a bad tackle but stays on the pitch while player injured gets taken off for treatment, This makes it 11 vs 10 giving an advantage to the offending team, Perhaps rule could be changed to allow a temporary sub or make game 10 vs 10 I believe Coventry had only 10 men on pitch when Sheffield Wednesday scored yesterday,

Ye mate often thought that. Maybe the offending player should go off for the same duration as the player he/she crocked and only return when the injured player is ready to continue.

It's cost them an estimated £800k from what I've heard on the radio this morning. All so that Man Utd can play Chelsea in Delaware or whevever.

The only reason the rule came into fruition in the first place was to stop fake injuries etc mate. Itd defeat the object if both had to go off, may as well both just stay on
