    I’d say Kudos for winning a European Cup, but the other 3 bits were in the Scottish League, so less difficult opposition along the way.

    I just don't get the hype myself. People spend thousands to watch 10 sterile, carbon copy franchises play out 0-0 draws in their living room.

    It's a completely different world supporting your local side.

    Wasn't the Scottish League far more competitive in the 1960's? Hearts, Dundee and Kilmarnock were all champions in the early 60's. Dunfermline won the cup twice.

    Aye mate soon adds up dunt it. Imagine if Pocc got that much backing in such a short amount of time. He basically spent peanuts compared. Same with wenger at arsenal for last 10 years, or emery - imagine what those 2 could have done with the 800 mill arteta has spent

    That was a good Celtic team back then, maybe because they weren't nearly guaranteed to win every gam back then.
    Just don't get the point in recent memory, virtually just a case of how many they will score, think if I lived up there I'd support the Caledonian Braves

    My wife's late aunt, who died a few years ago at the ripe old age of 100, was a teacher in Glasgow and always said that she supported The Jags (Partick Thistle, not Jacksonville) because the kids would pester her to declare some sort of allegiance and it was unthinkable that in that position she would say Celtic or Rangers.

    Yeah, definitely more competitive than it is now, but many of the best Scottish players have come to England over the years, so I don’t think it will have been as strong as our league.
