I hope Hobart Hurricanes win the tournament. Probably seen as the lesser team of the tournament stuck up in Tasmania, when compared to the holiday destinations of other teams. They don't have the big names either. Look at their current game. Away at the current champions that have their test players back and posted over 200. Yet their squad of less known players and missing key players trough injury like Chris Jordan, are looking good. Tim David is one of the players of the tournament, so that's me putting mockers on him.....
Two good ones. Jake Doran what a knock. They were cruising then lost power surge wickets as teams usually do, but he held his nerve when at one stage he probably didn't think he'd be needed with the bat. 100 percent record when chasing.
You love a big bash at breakfast so you'll have enjoyed it this morning. Caleb Jewel get him to Headingley. It's not a realistic chance for some sides, but it's quite remarkable with every team having one game left, nobody is officially out of the tournament yet.
Can bat this Mitchell Owen fella. Making a name for himself for some nice looking franchise contracts.
Joint fastest BBL century ever and fastest in grand final. Are Yorkshire looking for an overseas for the Vitality Blast? Him and Meredith have both signed up for the next three years to stay local, so the team look on the up.
http://nordencricketclub.co.uk/latest-news/one-of-our-owen/ Played in the Lancashire League last summer - scoring 891 runs and taking 25 wickets. Only 22. I reckon he'll get a pro gig over here this summer. Incidentally, the sports agency who previously listed him as a client has pulled his page. Presume the price has just gone up!
Love that. Cricket has always been different to Football when you look at how many names play it at village level. If someone pulls out of the IPL for whatever reason he might get a late deal there. He's bound to be over here for our T20 competition and maybe The Hundred. He will be costing teams a fair chunk more than a few hours ago.
Another duck egg for Root, but he's one of the only batters with over 200 runs so he's had a good tournament. It was his last home game. He plays away on Thursday and then goes on England duty. Paarl will miss him for the final game and then the knockouts. Especially if their captain David Miller is injured as he's not come out to bat. I see Yorkshire have signed Will Sutherland for two County championship matches and the whole of the T20. He's not as good as his sister is in the women's game, but I'm happy with it. He probably asked for her advice on Headingley and Leeds in general with her playing for the Superchargers.
