https://archive.is/Mrzef I agree. It would be much better for the game as a 3-3-3 tour across the formats. It starts at half 11 tonight and the 7 games (3 ODIs, 3 T20s, 1 Test) is fast tracked in to a three week period. It's not being given the proper attention. We've not won any of the last five series, but then Australia women at Cricket are for me the best sports team on the planet, any gender. A dream team for me would have 3 England players in at the most. Sciver Brunt and Ecclestone. Then a case made for Wyatt Hodge, Heather Knight and Tammy Beaumont.
Unusual for me, but this is on at decent time. It started at 15:30 PST, so I'm watching it live. I usually watch the BBL / WBBL on replay, first thing in the morning, after eschewing all communication devices. They were just talking about having more than one Test in the future. I also notice the Women's Test matches are only 4 days.
Strongish start for England, but are going to have to try and get as far north of 250 as possible. Nice to hear Mitchell Starc in the commentary box with Trent Copeland. He played for Shepley in the 2007 Drakes Premiership season and was a poor overseas player. He went on to play for Australia in multiple formats including three test matches and is now an highly thought of coach.
Being 4 points to 0 down it's already must win this final ODI. Good start so far with a couple of early wickets. Starting 10:05 in the morning local time is bad planning.
I checked the score at about 5am-ish as I was awake, thought oh ill watch the end of that. By the time I switched it on, it was all over!!
59/4 shouldn't be getting to 308. Ash Gardener the first player ever in the women's game to get a century batting at number 6 and Alana King with the first ever five for.
Given the fact we have lost the women's version of the ashes. Now we can look forward to the mens series v India. Starts tomorrow, with a T20 1:30 pm.. TNT sports 1/Discovery +.
