Coventry is another one. I'll never forget the game we had there in about 2009, bearing in mind we haven't won there since 1923. We were a goal up in the final minute of injury time when one of our fullbacks gave away a penalty for a handball (it was either Hassell or Kozluk) despite the ball hitting them square in the chest and the referee having a perfect view from about 10 yards away. I knew then that we're destined to never win another game there. Even our Bristol City and QPR hoodoo's were broken behind closed doors.
Derby as well. I probably won’t go there if we get back up, and I’m thinking of giving Charlton a miss this season.
That tells me you haven’t been since 2012. With the exception of the Covid season, we’ve lost 9 in a row
And I was there in the November of that '91 season, when it was just the same again. We battered Bristol Rovs at home, but they somehow snatched a 0-1 win.
We always used to win at Hull. They eventually broke the curse by moving to their new ground. We always used to lose at Manchester City. We didn't break the curse when they moved to their new ground...
Back in the 80s and 90s we had a decent record at Maine Rd. They knocked us out of the FA cup when they were in the top flight, but either side of that we had a couple of wins and draws there.
