Am I missing something? I read couple of his books a few years ago and thought they were awful. Do they make decent TV then?

Have sort of enjoyed the previous ones, I also have rad quite a few of his books, can’t get past the fact it’s typically all the same actors in them.

Some of the foreign language ones were part of the Netflix deal I believe.

It’s just easy viewing. Constant plot twists & well known actors that keep you interested but they’re a bit far fetched.

We watched Black Doves last week, and whilst I agree it's a great series and definitely worth a watch, it seemed to end so quickly and suddenly. It's as though they realised they'd only got space for a final 20 minutes of the series to film.

I’ve noticed that with quite a few series recently…. you get used to a slow tempo and then, all of a sudden , it squeezes something like 3 episodes worth into one.
