You could argue the opposite is true. If we play well, Adam Phillips plays well. If we play poorly Phillips may as well not be on the pitch because we aren't utilising any of his strengths. It's a tough one because he's such a good attacking player but when the team is struggling he doesn't have the attributes to help improve things, when the team is doing well he excels. I can only imagine how many goals and assists he'd get in a team that's flying at the top of the league.
