MClean crashed his car on his way to training. Parkinson asks the FL to give Mclean more protection. Mclean calls Shrewsbury a town full of inbreds.

We all have our thoughts on McClean. I discussed mine just the other day. I’d never wish him to suffer injury or worse in an accident though. Glad he hasn’t suffered anything too bad - at least on the face of it in any case. But this level of reporting is bizarre. News of his ‘single car accident’, that he had reported to Wrexham and having more medical checks, is a big news story in multiple outlets, including interestingly The Sun, The Daily Mail, GB News, The Star, The Mirror. Not all right leaning - but I’m not having they have posted this as it is ‘news’, but to generate the inevitable comments that each and every one of them are getting. I won’t repeat but I’m sure you can imagine. I dislike him, not necessarily for his views but for the way he portrays them and himself, as I made clear the other day, but there’s some proper pond life that go much further and are revelling in news he’s had a car crash. To put in context, he’s smashed his Audi up, rolled it by the looks, and seems to have walked away relatively unscathed other than a cut to his arm. Having more tests as a precaution, as you would. Michail Antonio got a fair bit of coverage - but was of course seriously injured and is a well known current premier league footballer - what other footballer, let alone a footballer playing in the third tier, would have a comparatively minor car crash feature in the national news? If that had been say Luca Connell, I doubt it would even be in anything over and above the chronicle and maybe an article on the club website that might be copied onto other football sites maybe. It wouldn’t be in the mail, the sun, the mirror, and plastered all over Facebook and x by those outlets.
No, but to be fair Luca Connell doesnt play for Wrectum. The more valid question is whether it would have been reported had it been Paul Mullen. Im not sure.
I think its more to do with being a well known Wrexham player than anything else mate. They're all fawned over.
