I dunno mate , just been reading about it - seems pretty toxic there ? Didn’t he tell his fans to f. Off on Saturday? his comments last night were classic Evatt ‘We look at them and they've got the win, but very direct, very simplistic. I'm not sure I'd want to watch that every week. But we play a brand that is really difficult to execute and at times we haven't done it well enough.’
It's a collective of things rather than just being 3pts off the play offs, they expected to be top 2, he's had run in's with fans, the home form is poor, they are holding up evatt out banners at games, it's too far gone just a matter of time
I’m not the biggest fan of him as a bloke but I do think he’s a decent manager & expect him to do well in the future. I think it’s natural that things go a bit stale after two play off disappointments.
Do you honestly think that with the budget he as had he as done well. Like to see him manage on a low budget. He is not a very nice man. His man management his poor. His attitude stinks ,and Bolton could do miles better than him. I would have been quite happy if was still there .
I thought he did really well at Barrow & did fairly well at Bolton until this season. I don’t like the man but I think he’s a decent manager & will make a success of it again in the future. I just think two back to back play off defeats is crushing & they never really got over the surprise Oxford loss & it just probably needs a new voice in there to freshen things up. At least with us we’ve had changes in manager & lots of player turnover.
The bloke has two promotions and a cup win in the last 5 seasons, not many can say that and his budget hasn’t actually been any better than ours, they tend to have one decent money signing a season and the rest are freebies and U21 loanees. Irrelevant of his perceived man management his record prior to this season does stand up. Credit where credit is due as well over his joint statement with Bolton.
I'm not so sure about the budget comment...he was quoted in The Bolton Chronicle just before the start of the season as saying he had put several £1million + bids in for players.
Pretty similar to how it got here with Collins last season, when you've lost the fans and it gets toxic then there's only one outcome.
