I agree. It would be much better for the game as a 3-3-3 tour across the formats. It starts at half 11 tonight and the 7 games (3 ODIs, 3 T20s, 1 Test) is fast tracked in to a three week period. It's not being given the proper attention.

We've not won any of the last five series, but then Australia women at Cricket are for me the best sports team on the planet, any gender. A dream team for me would have 3 England players in at the most. Sciver Brunt and Ecclestone. Then a case made for Wyatt Hodge, Heather Knight and Tammy Beaumont.

Unusual for me, but this is on at decent time. It started at 15:30 PST, so I'm watching it live. I usually watch the BBL / WBBL on replay, first thing in the morning, after eschewing all communication devices.

They were just talking about having more than one Test in the future. I also notice the Women's Test matches are only 4 days.

Strongish start for England, but are going to have to try and get as far north of 250 as possible.

Nice to hear Mitchell Starc in the commentary box with Trent Copeland. He played for Shepley in the 2007 Drakes Premiership season and was a poor overseas player. He went on to play for Australia in multiple formats including three test matches and is now an highly thought of coach.

Being 4 points to 0 down it's already must win this final ODI. Good start so far with a couple of early wickets. Starting 10:05 in the morning local time is bad planning.

Poor defeat to lose so easily after getting four early wickets.

59/4 shouldn't be getting to 308. Ash Gardener the first player ever in the women's game to get a century batting at number 6 and Alana King with the first ever five for.

Given the fact we have lost the women's version of the ashes. Now we can look forward to the mens series v India. Starts tomorrow, with a T20 1:30 pm..

Before we lose the third and final T20 that starts at 8:15 in the morning, I thought I would post the ICC team of the year. Somehow we seem to have more highly rated players than Australia, which is laughable.

It's those playing in those positions not best individual team.

These England women shouldn't take the criticisms of their fitness levels to heart. Some of them have shunned ex player Alex Hartley because she's been vocal on comms without naming names and said some of them are nowhere near fit enough and she's right.
We then have head coach Jon Lewis coming out with ******** excuses too. England should be embarrassed to have not won a single game so far. Some home truths need to be told. If it was the men's team in this position (again!) then they'd be getting slaughtered.

Fitness is a huge concern. Look at Alice Capsey and Sophie Ecclestone and compare to Annabel Sutherland and Beth Mooney who just finished not out having run 11 twos.

They are earning more cash than ever before and getting more people watching them in the grounds and on TV, so have to expect the same kind of scrutiny the men get.

About two weeks before the Ashes started Lauren Bell was having a pre tour jolly in Australia drinking wine and having down time. Imagine someone like Joe Root doing that. It wouldn't happen.

Whilst Bell was drinking alcohol the likes of Alyssa Healy and Elysse Perry will have been in the gym. The two teams have such different mindsets.

Unbelievable that she was having down time and not preparing properly for this series. Some of these England ladies seem happy to take the increased money these days but don't want to put the hard work in.

    Another embarrassing loss today.

I had the game on in the background earlier, without knowing the score. As they were 9 wickets down and trying to avoid their worse T20 score, the camera panned to the England bench and they were all smiling and laughing. They should be ashamed.

They've been stagnating for a long time now, seems to me to be like an old boys (girls) club and almost impossible to get dropped once your face fits. They want all the benefits of professionalism but none of the cons, their reaction to the criticism they've received says a lot.
