Dire for the home fans. Nothing to get them off their seats. Consequently you can hear every player shout like it is one of those Covid matches.
These are a dirty set of bar stewards. Leave a foot in every time. We need to get a hold of the game and stop them niggling
My decision not to travel looking good so far. I sort of expected this kind of game and it just looks dreadful on my iFollow screen. Maybe our bad half/good half clicks in after half time.
Utterly devoid of any quality whatsoever. I never thought I’d hear myself say this, but bring Russell on for Connell. He’s been poor for weeks now IMO. The armband shouldn’t be a free pass.
We had three attacks in that half. Two of them broke down when Connell needlessly squandered possession with silly back flicks when there was an easy ball on to find a team mate on both occasions to continue the attack,
It must be so nice turning up to play us at home knowing exactly how we’re going to set up. You think an element of surprise might be good to add to our arsenal but seemingly not.
Imho...Its gone pretty much as I thought it would. Very poor game with Stevenage (as they were at their place) first to the first and second balls. We are being outfought with their physical outlook and look half a yard quicker all over the pitch. Again our defence looks very suspect and that midfield needs to get physical with them and then just give it Nwakali. I'd bring on Pines for McCarthy and Humfs for Watters..... again for the physicality. We need to quicken our play all over the pitch. Looks at this stage a draw will be a good result....this is where I look to the coach to make a difference.
If he’s selecting Nwakali to sit there’s no point playing Connell. I’d swap them ten mins, see how it looks, and sub Connell off for Russell if it doesn’t improve things - let kelechi play like a quarterback
