How can you say that ? Apparently we are a much better team when Watters plays , which kind a says it all he’s crap .
He's a limited manager with a limited team, he's not the only one in this division - If Wrexham go up, Phil Parkinson will be out of his depth.
How he stayed on the pitch for 90 minutes today is a mystery to all but DC. His feet never leave the ground when challenging for a header and he never attacks any cross into the box. He was a complete passenger all game. Offered absolutely zilch. He might make some good runs in away games when he’s more space (missing most chances he gets mind) but at home against a well organised side sitting in he may as well be sat with me on row CC in the Ponty.
When people are saying Watters is our best striker it kind of brings home how far we have declined as club over the last few years.
Not sure whether you go down to the concourse at half time but there was no sound down there. I didn’t think there was any halftime entertainment as there was nothing over the speakers at all (but I’ve just seen someone mention Mr Blobby above) and a load of us missed the second half kick off. We all moaned that there was no announcement of them coming back out but maybe there was and it’s just that the sound wasn’t working as we didn’t hear anything all half time?
Nothing will change for me until we drop this formation and start to play a more aggressive and attacking formation. Currently we just sap every ounce of creativity out of our players. The crowd don’t really have any songs about our players because none of them excite us. Long gone are the days when we had players like Hammill who got on the ball and we stood up because we knew they’d do something exciting. Play an attacking style and the fans will get behind the team. We need to give the players the freedom to attack and try to be brave not just passing it around the back 5 and then lumping it up to Watters
