That's the only bit I don't agree with there, about the owners, like with the reason you've given as an example. In any business, whether its the owners investment or not, surely it shouldn't mean they can do whatever the heck they like with it.
Is it right that Duff was virtually on his way here, before a late u-turn when Huddersfield came in for him as well. I'm always interested to know how it might have gone with him if he came back, and what our reactions would have been.
I'm sure I've read it on here before, somebody suggested it when Duff's name came up. It might not be correct, but he was obviously going to Hudds wasn't he when they came in, no doubt. It might have been when we were discussing his time at Swanny, and him telling us that our owners did all they could, to tempt him to stay, etc.
Cant remember it if so bud. Id be surprised if he was tempted by us despite his stock falling, as id assume another lower championship side or better league one side than us (what ended up happening in the end) would take a punt on him. He'd also lose the compensation he'd have been on when joining us as well. Fair play to the board though if they tried.
I get what you are saying mate, but they are hell bent on this philosophy with the past few head coaches operating the same playing formation to a degree with both Duff and Clarke trying to change it but then having to revert back due to a lack of options and a willingness for this one track approach to be changed despite what you, I or others may think.
Good coaches try to improve players individually and the team collectively,it’s almost as bad as watching the Collins team certainly at home.
I feel for the fans who are turning up week in week art to watch the 5hite on offer, an it dunt seem to be gerrin any better, i stopped coming and going to games 2 yrs ago aving spent nearlly 3 an half K, on away weekends an feeling like 5hite all the time, the feelings are the same on matchdays, but the Holidays are better an longer.
