no because he won the ball. Even if you thought he didn’t get the ball, you can’t get sent off if you were attempting to get it
Exactly this, shocking decision making from a player of his experience. Gave a **** ref a decision to make.
You're not allowed to lunge in from behind. I hope we've got a defender or two to bring in this transfer window. Folks say we need strikers when we are one of the top scoring teams in the league, and then talk up our defence that's abysmal.
That’s DC’s ‘leader’ making tackles like that, when we’re on the back-foot… down to 9th as it stands.
I don’t think his performance has any impact on the decision by the ref. I agree it was daft to dive in there but it’s never a red in a million years. He got 100% of the ball.
Half the posters on here are as thick as our Recruitment Team. Because we’ve played crap, they are arguing that poor refereeing decisions are good ones! A crap decision is a crap decision, no matter how bad we’re playing.
Pines didn't touch him for the pen and Roberts won the ball. They might have been crap for the rest of the game, not disputing that, but neither was a foul.
Sorry, but I just refuse to accept DC is to blame for what just happened. Horrendous defending from Pines and lucky to stay on the pitch. Then our most experienced players goes flying in literally seconds after and gives the ref a very easy decision to make, having just given us the benefit of the doubt. 100% on the players.
