    If Phillips doesn't miss from a yard or Connells halfway line effort goes in there would be none of this moaning. We were awful and it would be papering over the cracks but there wouldn't have been this meltdown.

    The annoying thing is if there’s one player at the club who you would want that chance to drop to on the volley it’s Phillips everytime.

    These late goals are killers. I think I’d rather be 3 down at half time & not have any hope. As they say it’s the hope that kills you.

    Agreed - he’s usually so good when it comes to finishing - but sounds like he shouldn’t really have been on the pitch as been suffering with flu since the night before yesterday, but fair play to him as I reckon many others would have said that they wouldn’t have been able to play.

    I agree it would have been a brilliant result but in reality we are getting worse as a team season on season.

    A good shot stopper, but he does flap at a lot of crosses and his kicking needs to improve. Having said that he fully deserves his place in the team
