Our 5000th game should have been Huddersfield at home. The postponement of Northampton and its rescheduling at the end of Feb now means we are looking at Rotherham away.

Are you including the 3 games from 39-40 which were wiped from the records ?

 

No idea! I inherited the records from someone called Neil Brown of Newcastle who set them up for every club. This must be 20 years ago or so and obviously I cannot be sure of his accuracy, only my own since I started updating.

 

Ive got 5543 games including cup games but not the div 2 abandoned season and 10 games from a midland regional tourney v sheff united

 

What about Plymouth 4-1 abandonment?

 

I didn’t count that - the rearranged game obviously goes on the list

 

PoR looks like you've an extra home win and a draw, and 2 extra away defeats. The goals for and against look out of whack too. As I say, here if you want to compare notes.

It was definitely his work that I used to start my list from but it must be 15-20 years ago. I doubt I still have the original file but I’ll have a look when I get the chance. It might be buried somewhere
