Good luck to him, he needs a new start and we need to spend his wages on someone that gives us something back. He must be the last of the players that we had from the championship.
Will be a good deal for all sides, some wage bill off for us, good player for Swindon & Benson gets game time - all depending on his fitness ofcourse. But will be great at that level.
Id say its best for everybody, and I hope he can get fixed up somewhere else. You would think he could do a good job for some team, in Lg Two (injuries permitting!).
Injuries robbed us of a very good player. An old fashioned all-round centre mid. Not limited to one specific function. Unfortunately, we only saw flashes. I hope wherever he goes next he can finally stay injury free and restart his career.
What a disappointment it won't be a sale. We will be paying some of his wages and run the risk of him getting injured and sent back to us. We should be looking to offload him permanently so we don't have to wait until the summer when he's out of contract.
I feel for Benson, clearly a talented player that has been so unlucky. And for anyone thinking we can just get rid before his contract expires, yes we can, but we still have to pay off his contracted wages unless he agrees to waive them. Hope he does well and smashes it down there.
What a sensible and sympathetic comment. A refreshing change from those making jokes about a talented player whose career has been plagued by injury.
Wish him all the best. Clearly very talented and showed glimpses of real quality for us. Sadly, injuries have prevented us seeing his true potential. Good luck to him.
Really hope this works out for him because if he can't string a spell together his professional career is gonna be over. Clearly the opportunity for him to show his worth to us has long passed, but on a personal level I hope he can fight the odds and come back to a similar level in the future.
