And they've created enough today to win 5 games. Players need to take the accountability and I think we need the board to be brave and hold their nerve and keep him. It's got to turn.
I think the main concern today was we didn't create any gilt edge clear cut chances, not that I can recall, we dominated yes but that was about it.
I sort of agree. Definitely don't think sacking DC is the answer but can't see how it will turn without at least one new striker, and preferably a new strike pairing.
We played against a poor side today, make no mistake about that. We look all over the place in and out of possession. Subs are poor. Approach is poor. It's just a mess from top to bottom. It's a game of football, you're always going to make chances, we had the odd shot against Man U, we were still cr*p then! From the very top to the very bottom of the Club we're a shambles. On and off the pitch. Rotten to the core.
thery were saying the same **** about Sean Dyche 3 weeks ago, what can he do with these players, new manager comes in and suddenly they're playing like Barcelona
This. I get the frustrations around Clarke's changes, but we've had the chances yet again to win the game comfortably.
Problem is we aren’t going to get a decent striker are we. We have had months and months and yet here we are about to move into panic mode just like we did in the summer. New DOF but there seems to be no actual plan in place still seems as badly ran and managed as ever.
Blame lies firmly with the board and level of recruitment for me! It’s been obvious what we have been lacking for months but they have sat on their hands just hoping for improvement.
why do you think the players are missing chance after chance? because the dressing room morale is dogshit, look how they came out second half after team talk, zero tempo once again
Aye, I know when Russell went clean through on goal he thought 'f.ck me that team today was crap I'm not gonna score here'.
Everyone can see that we’re lacking quality in a few areas, it’s up to the club to sort a couple of those issues out by the end of Monday and the rest in the summer. I still think we need to back a manager through a couple of seasons to try and build something. Nothing that’s happened recently has made me think that isn’t still the case.
If they are creating and missing chance after chance that’s not a morale issue that the players are just not good enough, no amount of coaching will change that. If you have two left feet you have two left feet coaching can’t change one.
Lofthouse from 8 yards running onto a pass totally unchallenged in first half? As gilt edged as they come. I’m 60 and would have hit the target from there with my slippers on. Pathetic….
The two clear chances were Russell’s & Lofthouse’s. The rest were half chances that you don’t expect to score. I’m like a broken record on here but the big issue at home when opposing teams turn up content with a point is our system & the lack of pacey, tricky players that can beat a man. You beat packed defences with players who can dribble past opponents or beat them for pace not good passers playing passes in front of their opponents.
