go on then out of the massive choices we had available what could he do? You talk about game management but what could having another manager achieve? Clarke sent out a team that once again created numerous good chances but the players on the pitch were incapable of putting them away! Until we get more options we are screwed until we get some new faces on the pitch
it was Burton at home, there's just no excuse for not putting them away, our squad is better than theirs regardless of recent signings
Change formation. We are lagging so far behind so give it a go. Gent and Okeefe on wings because they're basically wingers anyway and 4 at back. Owt
He’s got them creating god knows how many chances a game it’s hardly his fault that the ‘strikers’ he has at his disposal are ***** and the rest can’t finish either
WTF has that got to do with changing the manager unless we signed a striker / manager. I didn’t see him on the pitch missing chance after chance!
again, he’s got them making chances but is saddled with the most inept strike force we have had in many a day, what’s he going to do?
He works with them all week ffs we have a strikers coach wtf do they do all week? At the end of the day Clarke is responsible for how we play on match days, He can go for me
No - that's brilliant managers. And lucky ones. I don't think he's either but I don't think he's bad.
The issue for me is that he has just watched our forwards toil yet again and has refused to give two strikers on the bench a chance to change it. Granted Cosgrove has not pulled up any trees but whichever way you look at it - it’s appalling player-management.
Change the strikers who massively underperformed. Change the formation. Change the tactics What I wouldn't have done is taken off the best player on the pitch by a country mile
I don't really care either way. Maybe I do a bit as I think we sack way too many managers, and often way too early. The sacking of Collins still annoys the hell out of me. So I won't be calling for Clarke's head and I don't think he's had enough time. But on the other hand, I don't think he's very good. Good enough for flirting with the play-offs in league 1, but not good enough to take us up into the Championship, which I believe is the aim. So yeah, whatever.
I see your point but if he put Cosgrove on would you be slagging him off for putting Cosgrove on?! What would we say if Cosgrove had come on, made a balls-up and Burton went upfield and scored?
