Too slow and laboured in transition and our defence always looks like we’re ready to give a goal away at any given moment so i suppose we should be grateful we’ve kept a clean sheet
To be fair, confidence plays a part in a chance like that. If the team have bonded and know they're playing well, it's like snooker, the pockets are like buckets. If we know we've been ***** for the last month, what are the relative odds of just slotting it away or making some basic mistake because of the pressure? I'm not advocating for Clarke out, I know the issue is bigger than that (the structure of the club, lack of strikers etc). I don't know how to fix it, just defending the point made a little.
If we definitely have no money and can't bring even a half or quarter decent striker in on loan on monday. I'll finally conceded to a formation change....4...2...3..1 perhaps but something just something has to change to get a proper tune out of these players. I have a Wednesday mate who confesses their squad is very poor for their league but are playing out of their skins for a very good coach.
Aye, the one thing that's changed for Chris Wood after a decade of premier league football is he's finally confident. Not that he's got lucky, got better, playing in a team set up for him, with better players etc.
We'll see what the rest of today and tomorrow brings. I'm not sure why I should spend my money, and go to the effort of attending on match days when we're being let down this badly. Just my opinion of course.
The manager should be getting us up for the match. It was there for the taking, Burton was as poor a team as I've seen at Oakwell, We were static for most of the first half. What shots we had were straight at the keeper, if they were on target. And I didn't see why he delayed substitutions, I'd have had Gent on earlier, Lofthouse was poor.
Squawk squawk.I clean my teeth with a feather and sit alone in a cellar in Australia to watch the northern lights. That is a silly post mate.
The DOF does what he's told, for all we know he could have had a list of targets and JAQ and Neerav have told him no.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cx2p3yvy9g5t#MatchStats People read 10 shots on target they will wonder how we didn't score. But any keep worth their weight in salt should save every effort. The keeper barely had to move for any of them.
