I kid you not, and maybe I'm lucky enough to have been around Oakwell from a young age and in the changing rooms but I could set us up better than this clown.

Nicky Eaden, knows more about the game than I can even imagine. I'd have him above any of the others that are in that coaching staff. The squad isn't as bad as it looks, its not great but its better than mid table in a preposterously sh it league and the manager isn't helping.

    Tactically, its appalling.

Only 15 seconds in and O'Keefe has the chance to push forward into space from the halfway line, chooses to go backwards, sums us right up.

No problem with performance or Clarke today. Really enjoyed the game apart from the result. Seen us create less and win. Wasted some great opportunities.

Frustration should be levelled at the board. Clarke and the players put a good shift in.

Not happy with result but got my money's worth today.

that’s not correct. Chien still has a very significant share. All that happened is that JAQ moved yhe proxy vote to the non Chien side.

Bad as you say we produced enough chances to win the game twice over....strikers are the main problem.

Yes he was the only one who looked like doing something different, otherwise we looked pedantically predictable. Nwakali was composed and very difficult to dispossess and played some decent passes but no end product, still better than Connell at the moment though. Russell played ok as well.

I really can't make my mind up who to vote for in the MotM poll to be honest. o_O

Yeah and we're delighted to see them gone.
But that doesnt show the current lot in a 'positive light' either does it.
I still think that sacking Clarke is not the answer, whether fans think he was the wrong appointment in the first place etc.
It always goes up to the top though, where the real problem lies. And that means it doesn't matter who we appoint next, it won't change a thing!.
And we'll be back to sh*tty square one yet again, having to build up and be patient again. While our rivals are way ahead of us and progressing.

Don't forget the corner we had where we ended up passing back to our keeper.

Oh and the free kick where we pushed nearly everyone in to the box and decided to play it short.

He was the best player on the park today and by some distance.

I do rate Nwakali, his passing is excellent, but the love-in some have for him is excessive, it really is.

He brings something different to the midfield than Connell but he isn’t necessarily better - they do the job differently. You couldn’t have Nwakali sit against the better sides. Too immobile, not strong enough in the challenge and doesn’t have the same defensive aptitude.

Nwakali’s ability is potentially as overhyped as the perceived loss in form of Connell is overhyped - Connell might not be looking the same player as the duff season, but he really hasn’t been that bad, not as some would tell you anyway - whilst Nwakali, whilst at times looking a Rolls Royce in possession, is a luxury that at times against better teams we might ill-afford.

The sponsors mom being Nwakali was a hilarious trolling of Clarke after the booing of his substitution; but he wasn’t the best player today. Gave it away a few times, got himself into trouble more than once too - that isn’t to say he isn’t a good player and that he was poor today overall, plenty were much worse - but as much as our fan base always seem to have a favourite scapegoat, Connell being the current one; we also tend to have a player that is overhyped and overrated at times - Kelechi is that.

Phillips was mom, and if he is sold in the next few days it would be peak Barnsley fc. Nobody else at the club looks like being a semi regular goalscorer, his goal involvement stats are off the scale.

To be honest the thought had occurred to me that if we were going to shoehorn attacking midfielders and wingers into playing up front, Phillips might be better suited to it than the ones that we have had doing it - he’s a better finisher than anyone else at the club, he challenges for headers better than Humphrys, DKD and Watters, plus you know he’d at least put a shift in.

We’d be wasting his other attributes, his final ball and coming onto things from deep for example - but if we are going to use square pegs we might as well use the best one.
