Well from the 8m we are already losing anyway due to the mismanagement by our current owners already.
It's all the more frustrating that during our own poor run, a few around us have done the same. We could have been in a great position.
Results wise we are obviously not as good but I feel like the games are slightly more entertaining. I guess Clarke has got until the April to get us in the playoffs or he’ll be off…
No doubting the football is better though. I'd rather be entertained and win but when you pay to watch a football match minimum requirement is to see some football. I was pissed off Tuesday but not today.
Yea Nathan...I do. Ill give you the 3 centre backs but at least last year we actually had strikers ....I mean crikey this year, we don't have a decent or half decent one on our books.
We had one striker in cole. The others that you say aren't strikers were also there for Collins last year..... DKD is as good if not better than the other we had in McAtee. He's on course to score more than McAtee did last year and has more than he does this year. So it's just Cole we are missing as a striker but most hated him anyway.
Collins had us in a better position at this stage of the season, with a better squad of players available to him, but the entertainment value was essentially the same. Home performances were as poor then as they are now. Collins then proceeded to take us into freefall at the end of the season, from a secure play-off spot to relying on other results to get over the line (by which time, he'd departed, which I had no issue with). Collins was never convincing as a head coach, but spent most of the season with his team in a league position that felt false and was starting to correct itself rapidly by the end of it. DC so far has been equally unconvincing, with his team in a league position for most of the seaon that felt false, and which is potentially correcting itself a little sooner. My assessment of both of them is very similar, but allows for the fact that DC is working with a weaker squad.
This is the kind of perverted completely unacceptable post that only a male still stuck in his man cave would post. However, you obviously haven't seen the rear of the belle two rows down and four to the right from me. You would be dead.
But is this not the problem? Constant changing of the manger doesn't give anyone one the chance to bed into a system or style. Fair enough, if we are succesful (ish) a la Duff/ Big Val, then the manger will be looked at by others who are more attractive then BFC. Perhaps we need to look at the longer picture and appoint a manger who has a set vision for where they see the club at the end of each season both on and off the field for a few years ahead and then work towards that. From memory the last manager to oversee two pre seasons was Stendel, thats not a great reflection on the club or its appointments.
well we're in February and cant beat bottom of league at home, David Moyes has had 17 days and they can't stop scoring and are playing with a complete new energy
At this point of the season, I think we are playing worse than last season, last season it was mainly probably the last 10 matches that were utter crap
Collins had better players but the football was grim and I think the results would have seen a downturn. The football for me under Clarke has been more entertaining and if the forwards could hit the proverbial cows arse with a banjo we would be in a very healthy position now.
It’s bad but still time it’s not anti football like Collins, one of worst seasons I can remember Kane backwards all the time
Far better than under Collins where we spent 89 minutes each game passing slowly between the keeper and defensive line.
