    ..according to Alan Nixon we’ve joined the footballing powerhouse Mansfield Town in a race for 34 year old Jordan Rhodes, that cannot get a game for Blackpool.

    Desperate times. Utterly depressing.

    Hardly fits the mould.

    Nixon has also linked Cosgrove with a move to Blackpool…..

    MGoldrick,Fletcher,Billy Sharpe etc all well into there 30,s and still scoring .
    Not saying Rhodes is a target but as I say many times horses for courses.

    Scott if you can put your happy head on for 5 minutes and not taking in a tenuous paper rumour about Rhodes,who would you personally target as a signing for us.?

    You cannot spin this one, sunshine…

    The window’s been open for 33 days & this is the 1st actual link I’ve seen us to a striker - the kids has 0 goals this season. Blackpool are below us in the league table; I’m hoping it’s a dud rumour.

    It’s not my job to sound who we should be going for, but it should be someone younger, in his prime that is firing & someone that’s in our budget (whatever that maybe…)

    ‘the recruitment team are working tirelessly behind the scences’ is what we’ve been told every Thursday in DC’s presser - this link to me stinks of desperation after being knocked back tirelessly. IMO of course….

    We need experience but not that experience.

    We need a striker but not that striker.

    We need new players but not those ones.

    Can't win...

    I'd take him all day long. We're creating chances and can't finish - one thing he can do is finish. No risk imho.

    Not sure a 0 in 21 striker would cause much excitement in any fanbase. Maybe we should resign Ashley Ward while we are at it. .
