Personally I think it would be ok. Not one I'd have thought going for, but needs must. Historically he hits the net. And we don't have that at all right now as an out and out striker. Age may be a problem, but no way would we have got him in his prime anyway.
What’s he trying to spin? It’s a transfer rumour. May or may not turn out to be accurate, but until then it’s just speculation.
Billy Sharpe 39 MGoldrick 38. I'm not saying we should sign somebody like Jordan Rhodes but I am saying some get too hung up on players ages.I'd take James Milner would you?.I'd have took James before he went to Wrexham. All players of a certain age who are performing well into there 30,s.
Dont call me sunshine please,I don't call you child do I .? I know its not your job to sound out who we sign it was a question to who you would like to see in a red shirt, thats all nothing sinister in my question.
If he’d have been playing against Bristol Rovers he’d have probably got at least 3 goals and we win the game. Still don’t think this will happen though.
I think you've just identified the problem with losing 8 million quid a year. Our budget doesn't stretch to someone young who is in their prime and firing, and to be fair not many clubs do have that budget.
But as ever it's all relative. We've signed prolific strikers and they've been ****. We've signed ones with poor records who turned out decent. We all know this but still decide to ignore it. The entire point is nobody knows and we can only hope anyone we get turns out OK. Past experience or form has had v little impact on whether they've been good for us or not.
My Daughter has a spare rear parcel shelf for a 2013 Ford Fiesta, it also is quite large, gets in the way and serves no useful purpose. I wouldn't offer that to Cosgrove, let alone a contract
I think I preferred this board when we won 4 on the spin and Scott dissapeared for a month. We'll do it again soon I'm sure, and he'll be off on his holibobs.
When he played at Oakwell for Blackpool, he was down by the east stand and got a dee dar chant and he turned and smiled and his words were "I'm one of you". He'd love an home debut against Huddersfield Town.....
the forwards at signed they actually worked generally had good previous track records. Winnall. Geddis. Biggins. Payton Currie. Ward. The ones that didn’t work tended to be the older ones who had a good record years ago but no recent pedigree and the random punts. if we sign a player like Rhodes I guess it’s fine for a mid table L1 club but let’s not pretend it would be ambitious in any way.
Doug O’Kane from the Barnsley Chronicle has squashed this rumour: “Seen reports that Barnsley are after Jordan Rhodes. Anything can happen on deadline day but, I understand, he’s not someone the Reds are currently trying to bring in.”
