Is the current squad better than this one was?

Marriott (Ghent), Mulligan (Austin) (Crooks), Kay (O'Callaghan), Morgan (Flynn), Gibbs (Robbie Williams), Donovan (Gorre) (Barrowclough), M.Ward (Gary Jones) (Wroe), Neil (Lumsdon) (Hayward), Betsy (Bertos), Dyer (Rankin), Sheron (Fallon) (Griff Jones).

The above players had the exact same home record at this stage of the season, 22 years ago.

That squad looks poor I’d say Dyer , Sheron and Lumsden with maybe Gorre when he played well but rest meh

I guarantee that if Sheron and Dyer were up front in the current team we’d have way more points.

Better strikers in that squad but current midfield players miles better. Defense probably better now with the exception of Morgan.

    It's a beauty.

Do you have one on which manager/coach changes their starting lineup the most?

That 2001 to 2004 period was probably the bleakest in my time watching BFC.

Yeah do you want league games only since people like Duff and Collins made wholesale changes for the JPT which skews the stats somewhat?

Yeah, league's spot on. It's obvious why I'm asking. Clarke has to be right up there.

I could probably see Cosgrove being a shift leader at Gist in 5 years, like Barrowclough, but this squad is better sans the strikers

Utterly horrific period. I really, really hope something like that is never repeated.

Morais averaged 2.8 changes over 15 matches
    Schopp 2.47 over 15
    Hill 2.38 over 71
    Bassett 2.36 over 69
    Hendrie 2.23 over 43
    Johnson 2.17 over 42
    Robins 2.15 over 87
    Clarke 2.14 over 29

Temp managers have been excluded. All other permanent managers have a lower average.

Apart from one single season ten years ago, that 3 year period is the only time in the last 45 years that we have finished lower than our current league position

Think Cosgrove was studying his accountancy exams, sure he mentioned it on co comms earlier this season.

Seem to remember Steve Hayward was really good for us until he got injured.

It feels like he tinkers a lot more than anyone I’ve known. But the stats don’t lie!

Hill managed less games than Robins? It seemed like he was here for years. Mind you the Hill "shadow" did end when Wilson was appointed. Dark days.

Has anyone seen much footage from that era, 2002 to 2005 ish? The season reviews seemed to end just before and most you tube footage isn't until 2008 ish. Is the lack of footage due to its digital possibly? It was a pretty rubbish period in the main for the football club but I've got loads of memories if like to see again.
