During the tier 4 lockdown (most stringent restrictions), it's being stated that he flaunted the rules by meeting a vocal performance coach during the Xmas period. Given the veracity of his calls for the likes of Cummings, Johnson etc to resign for breaking the rules. Should he now fall on his sword if the allegations are proven? I think as PM, you have to have that ultimate trust and be judged down to the letter of the law. Johnson should have gone straight away but he clung on as long as possible trying to wiggle out of it, Starmer surely would have to do the same.
So the world should stop then? Pathetic There were other major things happening in the world when Johnson was facing calls to resign for his rule breaking. Did you label that pathetic or just apply to your favourite party? Our highest office should be squeaky clean, can't just brush things under the carpet for certain people. Let investigations take place and if he has done wrong he should resign, if not then all is good.

The allegations come from a book written by 2 Sunday Times reporters, which says it all. Most likely a load of 8ollocks
Johnson made the rules that he broke, Johnson didn’t care about other major things happening, only thoughts he had was how to line the pockets of friends and his own
Starmer argued the rules were not stringent enough. May be all ****** but be interesting to see how it develops. As long as we don't end up with Lammy for PM
If found guilty he should go. You can't be looking mad at what others have done if you've done it as well. Every rule breaker should be treated the same regardless of political party.
If this was as clear cut a breach of covid rules as your post suggests, then it would have been front page on the Times or Sunday Times ages ago.
Yes, I think allegedly meeting one other person to upskill himself for his job deserves, if anything, more of a hammering than fostering and taking part in a culture which involved actual parties being held in Downing Street. For f**ks sake
If true would it not class as works training anyway? These Tories trying to make something of this have very short memories! Just shows they have nothing to offer other that mud slinging and stamping their feet!
Try rearranging this well known phrase or saying: straws at clutching. The Tories lost the election. Get over it!!!
Proves my point in my previous political post. False equivalence, a right wing media desperate to create any little thing to stop them getting their messages out. Did anyone pick up the nugget that Kemi Badenoch has broken corporate rules, introduced by the tories, by failing to disclose she is a person of interest in the Conservative company after she became leader? Funny how that's not been mentioned in our 24 hour rolling news channels.
To be honest he should probably offer his resignation - if found guilty. I said that same about Johnson, so it would be hypocritical of me to suggest otherwise. If he's found to have broken the rules that is - because he was chased for ages when he had that curry that time.
